Heritage Buildings CLOSE

CMLC has made a commitment to support historic rejuvenation initiatives and integrate them into the overall planning and development initiatives of the Rivers District. The plan is to have these historic buildings standing proudly beside contemporary structures, developing the architectural diversity of the Rivers District and creating dynamic new streetscapes.

The East Village has several historic Calgary landmarks, including the Simmons Building, King Edward Hotel, Hillier Block, and St. Louis Hotel. All have a proud history, but need help to restore them as icons of our city.
