St. Patrick's Island CLOSE
St. Patrick's Island is an under utilized 30-acre island in the Bow River directly across from East Village. Currently home to the 100-year-old Calgary Zoo, it is a little-developed green space virtually in the heart of the city. The island is being envisioned as an extension of the East Village waterfront, and a major recreational asset for East Village and Calgary as a whole. In April 2010, CMLC will embark on a year-long public engagement process to create the vision for the future St. Patrick's Island. Check back often for continual updates.
