Bringing world-class hospitality to Calgary’s Culture + Entertainment District — and a new boutique hotel to East Village.

Truman is making one of the largest private hospitality investments in Calgary’s history, with four significant hotel developments underway across the Rivers District — three in The Culture + Entertainment District and one in East Village.

In 2025, CMLC and the Calgary Stampede announced Truman as the developer partner for an Autograph Collection Hotel on Flores LaDue Parade, at the west entrance to Stampede Park. The 13-storey, full-service hotel will include approximately 320 rooms along with meeting, food and beverage, and leisure spaces.

Truman and Marriott International are also bringing W Calgary and JW Marriott Calgary at Macleod Trail and 15th Avenue S.E.. These 69- and 62-storey towers will introduce more than 400 hotel rooms and nearly 360 branded residences, expanding the accommodation and residential capacity needed to support the expanded BMO Centre, the future Scotia Place event centre, and the broader demand generated by conventions and major events. Together, W Calgary and JW Marriott Calgary — alongside the Autograph Collection Hotel— represent more than $1.47B in private investment, supporting over 9,100 construction jobs and more than 2,000 long-term hospitality and tourism positions.

In East Village, Truman is also advancing a new hotel project. Planned for Lot N along the riverfront, this five-storey boutique hotel will add 132 rooms just steps from RiverWalk, providing another high-quality accommodation option and supporting the neighbourhood’s ongoing evolution as a vibrant, mixed-use urban community.
