BMO Convention Centre Hotel

Matthews Southwest Hospitality to develop The C+E’s first hotel

$80-million ~220-room hotel will support guests and events at expanded BMO Centre and growing Culture + Entertainment District.

The C+E’s attraction of major investment takes first step forward

In late 2022, CMLC and the Calgary Stampede announced a new partnership with Matthews Southwest Hospitality—our selected developer partner for a BMO Centre convention hotel. The C+E’s first hotel will connect directly to Western Canada’s largest convention venue. This is the first major private investment in Calgary’s Culture + Entertainment District since the master plan was completed in 2018.
