BMO Centre Expansion
The BMO Centre has been Calgary’s primary venue for consumer and trade shows, special events, meetings and conferences since it was built in 1982. As a key component of the Rivers District Master Plan, the expansion of the BMO Centre is a critical first step toward establishing downtown Calgary’s east end as Calgary’s Cultural and Entertainment District.
In 2018, CMLC entered into a development agreement with Calgary Stampede to oversee this expansion of the BMO convention centre. With that agreement in place, CMLC is now preparing to deliver what can only be called a catalyst project for east Victoria Park. Culminating in 535,500 square feet of rentable space, the planned $500 million expansion will make BMO Centre a Tier-One facility and the second largest meeting facility in the country after the Toronto Convention Centre, and it will position Calgary as a top Canadian destination in the highly competitive meetings and conventions market.
All BMO Centre consulting opportunities will be posted on Biddingo, MERX and APC.
